Vote NO to the bus pass
Vote Today Online at: http://vote.feds.ca/ballot/.
A mandatory bus pass is a bad idea.
The benefits listed should be considered optimistic at best. I don't use the bus, and I'm not going to pay $50.00 for the privilege of walking. At the very least make it refundable (If you want a refundable pass, vote NO now, and wait for a better proposition).
You wont see changes in GRT coverage for at least a year, and even then it will be small. People with cars will not stop driving. They have cars. Anyone who feels the need to drive to school from within walking distance isn't going to jump on a bus – ever – they're lazy.
Think before you vote. More info is available at vote.feds.ca.

I've got to agree with Terrill, but unfortunately there's no way it's ever going to be refundable. They know that most students are never going to use it, and thats how they're going to subsidize the loss of money of the few students that will save a lot.Furthermore: A set of 5 tickets is 7.75.That's 6 sets of tickets for $50.Aka 30 tickets.Does the average student use the bus 30 times in a term? I sure don't.

I wouldn't use it 30 times a term either Vasant. Know what really makes me mad? You can buy a term bus pass that only lasts 3 months. A 4 month pass doesn't exist, yet we all revolve around 4 month terms! That is a pure expression of greed if I have ever seen one.
