A year with AdSense
It's been almost a full year now since I installed AdSense and I have made a (very) small fortune. It is now well into 4 digits and growing monthly (if you count the two decimal places)!

Truth is that I made a staggering $0.30 last month. My hopes are high for 2007 though. I've heard $20.00 is the minimum Google will send a cheque for... that is only $6.14 to go!

I was a little skeptical when I saw your article summary in my Bloglines. Yeah, that looks pretty close to my Amazon earnings. But then, I don't really push a lot of stuff on my blog, apart from my own book, so yeah.

The RSS feed really picked a good spot to stop the preview :)

I did some more experimenting with AdSense tonight and was completely unsatisfied with the results. Either the average blog entry was too short or the whole localization thing has gone seriously awry. Most of them were geared to California for some reason. Can anyone recommend any alternatives for tech related blogs?

Last year I did a bit of analysis on blogging and AdSense revenues. It may (or may not) be of interest: http://www.josesandoval.com/2006/03/how-much-is-my-writing-worth-adsense.html.And the minimum amount for google to send you a check is $100.00.

Thanks for the link Jose. Good analysis. I honestly believe there's not a lot of money to be made by the average blogger. I got dugg on the 12th of February, and received about 17,000 impressions that night. I made about $4.00. It is an okay amount, but not that much. If I could make $10 a day off AdSense then it would be worth it, because buying my lunch for free every day would rock. But until then I don't like the idea of having them on my site, save for the times like these.
