1/1,000,000,000th of a second glimpse at an Atomic Explosion

This is some serious stuff. I saw this on Digg today and couldn't help but talking about it too.

These incredible pictures depict the beginnings of an atomic explosion. Before the dust, the fire, before it litterally hits the ground. It appears to act much more like a liquid at first. Kinda like a lava lamp.

Its humbling.
