It was a big day for the Telecom business

Skype made their SkypeOut service this week. You can now make long distance phone calls free from your computer. Future Shop is completely sold out of microphones.

You can't tell me that every important person at every telecom company is not a little bit scared at what this means. Especially Vonage who is really kinda screwed from all this. I dont see much of a difference between Vonage and Skype, especially in terms of branding. I dont know which is more dumb the Vonage commercials or the 'everything is a speach bubble' Skype website. It's a tie.

I now use Skype for all long distance, so if I sound a little weird on the phone, you know whats up.
