University of Waterloo Student Blog
This evening I was looking for fellow Waterloo student blogs on Google, and much to my surprise the results were closer to home that I imagined:
So my map app is taking the first spot, but its not a blog, it doesnt even have any content on the page... everything is AJAX (almost). This I find really interesting, especially when put into context with my last post about Google not ranking semantic markup very well, because now I'm thinking that it does! There's really no other good explanation I can think of.
The map's been featured on large sites such as Google Maps Mania, and Student Life Center. Those links would most definetely help the rankings, but there's no way those alone can do it.
